Marketing
In the marketing unit, we learned what it takes to be qualified as a
good ad and what all ads have in common. We learned the different types of
advertising and what each element adds to the ad. We had to create our own website rubric which
we could mark other websites by. We learned how to make a website and how to
make it the way we want. Our final project was a website based on the business
we created in the communication unit and we demonstrated the skills it takes to
design a website and have appropriate content.
SAL's Website
I chose this artefact because it shows the skills needed to make a website. We used weebly.com. It meets the objective of designing a website and having proper website qualities so it will be easy to use. We designed the website based on the rubric that we created of what makes a good website. The process of making this website needed us to learn how to use weebly and how to make the pages look appealing. We can apply these skills to other websites that we might need to create later which makes creating this website very useful.
Print AdThis print ad was created using Microsoft Word. We learned about the features every ad has and what makes it a good ad. We applied the knowledge into our own ad for our business. I think the skill of knowing how to make an ad and where to put images and text so people will find it appealing is very important. If I go into business in university or if my job involves knowing how to advertise products, I can use the knowledge I have to produce a successful ad.
